
MR. AXELL ALTERADO
Program Manager, Zuellig Family Foundation
Axell M. Alterado is the Project Manager of the Zuellig Family Foundation (ZFF)’s municipal nutrition and health leadership program, in partnership with the Switzerland based Kristian Gerhard Jebsen Foundation.
He has been in ZFF for more than 5 years as a Bridging Leadership trainer and coach to political leaders and program managers of partner Local Government Units. As member of the team in charge of the municipalities classified by the Department of Health (DOH) as Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDA), he provides Local Health Systems mentoring especially on issues unique to GIDAs, develops leadership and technical modules, as well as conducts and facilitates health social science researches related to effective governance and responsive local health systems.
Before ZFF, Mr. Alterado worked at the DOH – Bureau of International Health Cooperation as part of the research team that conducted a situational analysis of the health and welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers across different migration phases.
Axell is a registered nurse in the Philippines and holds a Master of Health Social Science from the De La Salle University – Manila through a full scholarship.
