
MR. BERNAN JOSEPH CORPUZ

He is already 25 years in the government service as a Cultural Worker and Cultural Manager working with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA)
He is a bachelor of arts Major in Economics graduate at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila and took his Masters in Public Management Development Program at the Development Academy of the
Philippines
As the Chief of the P/PFPD, he handles the technical concerns of the NCCA with the main functions of management, preparation and dissemination of the implementation of the NCCA Grants review and the conduct of the grants approval process as well as the coordination with the Commission’s proponents or project grantees [like the Civil Society Organizations, Government Organizations and Private Organizations, Local Government Units and the academe] in carrying out Commission’s programs and projects.
The Division which Mr. Corpuz handles -- is a frontline-service oriented unit of the NCCA, that directly coordinates with its four Subcommissions (SCs), namely, the Arts, Cultural Communities and Traditional Arts, Cultural Dissemination and Cultural Heritage, including its 19 National Committees (NCs) [representing the various culture and arts communities nationwide both from the public and private sectors], as well as other stakeholders and partners for culture and arts, primarily for the grants giving process, advocacy initiatives, and national development planning and policy-making.
Mr. Corpuz is a heritage advocate and art enthusiasts, working for the continued preservation, safeguarding and conservation of our tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
