When the pandemic broke out in 2020, learners were left at home, teachers were forced to adapt to distance learning, as the world waited for face-to-face classes to resume. For schools in remote areas such as Busuanga Island in Palawan, or Bantayan, Cebu, access to hygiene facilities is among the necessities that will ensure pupils are protected against communicable diseases when they return to school. 

BSP, BFAR, USAID and BDO Foundation launch finlit game for fishers

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Fish Right Program of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and BDO Foundation have collaborated for the development of an innovative training intervention designed to help improve the financial literacy of more than 1.9 million fishers across the country.

As part of a partnership project aimed at helping improve financial education in public schools, the Department of Education (DepEd), BDO Foundation and Huawei Philippines recently recognized learning modules that effectively integrate financial literacy into the teaching of Science and Mathematics. The outstanding modules were announced at the online awards ceremony of the Search for the Best Supplemental Learning Materials in the Teaching of Defined Key Concepts in Science and Mathematics.
