Assistant Director for Corporate Communications and Head of CSR Travellers International Hotel Group (Resorts World Manila)
Archie Nicasio is part of the pioneering team of Resorts World Manila (RWM) who set up the multi-awarded Corporate Communications group of the company. His dictum and commitment to “learn about people, build people” is what fuels his passion to challenge the norm, come up with out-of-the-box ideas, and encourage teamwork. Several of RWM’s initiatives which earned global recognition from various industry award-giving bodies and brought honor to both RWM and the Philippines are some of his most recent accomplishments. Corporate Social Responsibility programs such as the Pinoy Ultimate Jeepney (PUJ), Run With Me, LOVE Dish, Lucky Person of the Year, and the RWM Integrated Marketing Communications program, “Brighter Tomorrow” for the musical Annie were some of the projects wherein he led, or played a significant role that eventually gained global acclamation. Just recently his team was named as one of the Top 5 Corporate Communications Teams in Asia by the PR Awards Asia held in Hong Kong.
Aside from RWM, his 20-year career as a business communicator gave him the opportunity to create and implement successful programs for various brands and industries ranging from technology-based products and services, to consumer goods like Intel Philippines, Philips, Netopia-ePLDT, PLDT & SMART, WG&A Superferry, Hunter Douglas, and Domex by Unilever to name a few.
In 1999 he was named by the Philippine Marketing Association (PMA) as the Most Outstanding Marketing Student for its search for the Ten Outstanding Marketing Students (TOMAS) in the Philippines. He was graduated by the San Beda University with a degree on Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Major in Marketing Management. In 2014 he underwent a 35-week Change Management Training with UK based company Renoir Consulting. He is also a part of RWM’s Leadership Champions group where he is recently awarded the grant to undergo a one year program under Harvard Manage Mentor (HMM).
