The 6th CSR Guild Awards, organized annually by the League of Corporate Foundations (LCF), recognized corporate member-foundations of LCF for developing outstanding CSR projects that created a positive impact on the communities they serve. The awarding ceremony, the culminating activity of this year’s Awards, was held at the Dusit Thani Manila on July 3, 2024.

“Since its inception in 2019, the CSR Guild Awards has been our way to acknowledge the ongoing commitment of corporations to perform as responsible members of society by behaving according to ethical principles and contributing to national economic development, while improving the community they operate in and serve and the environment itself,” said Ramon Derige, 2024 LCF CSR Guild Awards Chairperson, LCF Board Trustee, and Executive Director, SEAOIL Foundation, Inc.

After a rigorous nomination, screening, and judging process by an external panel of judges and the membership, eight awards were bestowed under two major categories: seven Program Awards (Arts and Culture, Disaster Resilience, Enterprise Development, Environment, Education, Financial Inclusion, and Health); and one Collaboration Awards, which recognized initiatives undertaken by two or more LCF members or partnerships composed of multiple organizations.

This year’s winners are as follows:

Other finalists were Vivant Foundation, Aboitiz Foundation, BPI Foundation, Knowledge Channel Foundation, PASAR Foundation, and Manila Water Foundation.

The 6th LCF CSR Guild Awards were also graced by Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator, United Nations in the Philippines Mr. Gustavo González, who delivered the Keynote Address; and Undersecretary Marilou G. Erni, Chief of Staff and Supervising Undersecretary for Strategic Communications, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), who presented the Congratulatory Address to the winners.

In his Keynote Address, González brought forth the critical need for private sector and civil society to work together to bring about improvements in society and the lives of people. In parallel, Undersecretary Erni, a former chairperson of the League, reminded the members to collaborate with government specifically on key cross-cutting concerns like climate change and disaster resilience.

The LCF CSR Guild Awards is part of the celebration of National CSR Week in the Philippines. LCF is mandated to lead the celebration of National CSR Week on the first week of July by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 299, s. 2000.
