“This award has once again put Security Bank Foundation on the spotlight and has surely made Security Bank a household name in Vigan City,” said Roland Repato, Business Manager of Security Bank Vigan Branch, who received the recognition on behalf of Security Bank Foundation, together with Branch Channel Manager Mary Therese Arranz.
“It is best to start the year with thanksgiving for the many blessings that we have received for our city and the Biguenos, and these were made possible due to all the relentless support and cooperation of all sectors,” Vigan City Mayor Hon. Juan Carlo Medina said in his message. “We deeply appreciate your efforts in making sure you reach our goals to continue to serve our fellow Ilocos Surians and remain to touch the lives of others through your willingness to help and serve,” added Ilocos Sur Governor Ryan Luis Singson.
In November 2019, Security Bank Foundation turned over twelve (12) heritage-designed classrooms to three (3) public schools in Vigan City namely, Ayusan – Paoa Elementary School, Ilocos Sur National High School and Vigan Central School. The school principals and select teachers of the said schools have also undergone training programs on leadership and teaching strategies from 2018 to 2019. All of these initiatives form part of Security Bank Foundation’s flagship education program, the Build a School, Build a Nation: The Classrooms Project. The multi-award-winning program aims to help address classrooms shortage and improve the quality of basic education in the Philippines.
The recognition conferred by the City Government of Vigan attests to Security Bank Foundation’s aim of becoming a valuable partner of Security Bank host communities in uplifting quality of lives mainly through better education.
