CLFI teams up with DepEd LCC for the National Literacy Conference
Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. teamed up with the Department of Education Literacy Coordinating Council (DepEd LCC) for the National Literacy Conference held in Iloilo City. With the theme “Aligning 21st Century Literacies to Industry 4.0 through Research,” this year’s conference brought together more than 500 education leaders, program implementers and partners for learning sessions on 21st Century Literacies, Industry 4.0 and conducting research on literacy. The event also showcased research studies conducted by teachers on 21st Century Literacies and discussions on experiences and good practice in implementing local community programs on literacy.
This year’s event was concluded with the awarding of 26 teachers who were recognized for outstanding oral and poster presentations for their respective research studies. Awards were presented by DepEd LCC together with CLFI and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
CLFI also received a plaque of appreciation from DepEd LCC as a partner for the National Literacy Awards (NLA) that provides a grant prize for the special excellence award given to LGUs with literacy programs that have won first prize at the NLA for 3 consecutive years and the Hall of Fame Award for continuing implementation of its community based literacy programs.
