Health In Our Hands For Bontoc Kids
Manila Water Foundation’s team teaching the seven steps to proper handwashing during its Health in Our Hands activity
Five hundred school children from Bontoc, Mountain Province learned about the seven steps to proper handwashing and received hygiene kits through MWF’s Health in Our Hands program. Benefitting schools include Mountain Province SPED Center and Bontoc Central School.
Mario Kolnog, Principal of Mountain Province Special Education Center said that it is important to remind pupils with the importance of proper hygiene practices as it affects their overall well-being. “Manila Water Foundation’s and GMA Kapuso Foundation’s efforts are truly helpful because, aside from the hygiene kits, they awaken kids’ interest on health and taking care of one’s self,” he said.
“Manila Water Foundation, maraming maraming salamat, sa effort ninyo sa pagpunta niyo dito, and making our children more aware of the importance of water, sanitation, and hygiene at saka sa kalusugan. Thank you, in behalf of the teachers of Mountain Province SPED Center [and] Bontoc Central School,” he thanked.
Thank you to our friends from GMA Kapuso Foundation for allowing us to reach these kids and extend our advocacy.
