BDO volunteers extend helping hand in earthquake-hit Pampanga
In keeping with the spirit of bayanihan, officers and staff of BDO branches in Pampanga mounted relief operations for hundreds of families affected by a strong earthquake that struck the province and other neighboring areas.
Volunteers from the BDO Angeles Nepo Mart branch, BDO San Fernando-MacArthur Highway branch and BDO Waltermart-Pampanga branch visited the municipalities of Floridablanca and Porac to distribute more than 1,900 relief packs containing food and water to the affected residents.
The relief operations were organized by BDO Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of BDO Unibank, in line with its disaster response advocacy. It caused power outages and injured scores of people in Pampanga. Porac, one of the hardest hit by the quake, was placed under a state of calamity by the local government unit.
