LCF Members at the First UAP Sustainability Reporting Conference

Three LCF member foundations presented various aspects of sustainability reporting at the University of Asia and the Pacific’s (UA&P) conference on the said topic.

Speaking at the UA&P Conference last November 11 were Malu Erni, general manager of Petron Foundation (“Perspectives from a Reporting Organization”); Roderick de Castro, executive director of TeaM Energy Foundation (“The Process of Applying the GRI Guidelines: C to A Application Levels”); and Fernando Diaz de Rivera, corporate affairs manager of Energy Development Corporation (“The Benefits of Sustainability Reporting”).

The resource team was led by Colin Hubo, Vice Chair of the UA&P’s Center for Social Responsibility, the conference organizer.

The conference was designed to help raise the level of awareness on sustainability reporting among Philippine companies. It was a unique opportunity to learn from academicians, CSR and sustainability practitioners, and members of the assurance team for Sustainability Reporting.

At least 50 participants from various companies, including LCF members, participated in the exchange of ideas and practices, and dialogues shaping the sustainability agenda for the Philippine companies.
