Mr. Paolo Benigno ‘Bam’ A. Aquino IV
Mr. Paolo Benigno ‘Bam’ A. Aquino IV – became the youngest person in Philippine history to head a government agency when he was appointed at age of 26 to become the Chairman of the National Youth Commission, from 2003 to 2006. He is President of the TAYO (Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations) Awards Function and sits as board member for various foundations. He was also recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and is part of the pioneer batch of the Asia Society’s “Asia 21” group of promising leaders in the region. Aside from being spokesman for Children’s Hour, Read to Lead and the Haribon Foundation, he sits as the president of MicroVentures, Inc. a social business enterprise which aims to empower micro-entrepreneurs. The Hapinoy project uses business models and disciplines to solve social problems and is a project instituted to increase the sales and profits of micro-entrepreneur sari-sari store owners nationwide.
Mr. “Bam” Aquino graduated valedictorian and summa cum laude with a BSC in Management Engineering from Ateneo de Manila University.
